See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

This former coaching inn which reopened after a long closure in September 2024 was named after the cock horse which was a name given to horses that were ridden to the base of large hills and then harnessed to the front of carriage horses to assist them pulling their carriage or coaches up. The local route traversed the local hills and ended up at Brockton in Shropshire. Incidentally this village also has a pub of this name. The pub has a Pan Asian and Welsh fusion menu, available for dine-in or takeaway. There is an large enclosed beer garden at the rear. Regular pub games are available.
