A very tranquil rural setting. The Nags Head is a well-restored old smithy, a beamed bar plus open fires and attractive riverside garden. The Beer range is local with regional and national guests. The bar area is furnished with collections of old medical instruments, railway memorabilia, and timepieces showing the time in various parts of the world. Space is also found for an extensive display of beer bottles. Food is sourced locally including trout and lamb. Sunday roasts are particularly popular. B&B rooms offered. Closed Mondays throughout winter months. The pub prioritises food at the tables inside, and a CAMRA member reported all tables being set for dining, with the extensive beer garden opposite, including a covered area, being preferred for beer drinkers.
