Large family friendly chain food pub, in a low, modern building, set in its own grounds within a busy suburb. This pub, which was part of the Hungry Horse (Greene King) food chain for many years, had a major and attractive refurbishment in September 2023 and is now a full Greene King pub, with a larger range of beers available.

It has two separate large public rooms, separated by a large U-shaped island bar. There is a main eating area/lounge with seating areas split between booths and individual tables and a large bar area, which has mostly high level raised tables and stools. Leading off from the bar is a big covered external area and then open patio/smoking areas. Facing the main entrance door from the car park is an old beer barrel embedded into the bar and the real ale handpumps are located here, along with a sign proclaiming 10% off real ale prices for CAMRA members. There are several large TV's scattered throughout both rooms. Quiz night is usually on Wednesdays and live music most Fridays and Saturday evenings.
